Splitting Primary School General Studies into Humanities and Science

The 2023 Policy Address announced the introduction of Primary Science and Primary Humanities to strengthen science and humanities education at the primary level. This includes national education and national security education, aiming to broaden students' global perspectives. The curriculum designs of both subjects are built upon the General Studies curriculum, which has been implemented in primary schools for many years. In the current school year, Primary 1 and Primary 4 levels have already commenced learning these Humanities and Science subjects.

Curriculum Features
With student learning at its core and adhering to the "student-oriented" philosophy, the curriculum emphasizes inspiring wisdom and intelligence to cultivate a new generation with ideals, talents, and a commitment to the country and Hong Kong. By equipping students with the literacies and key competencies required for the new era, it enables them to move forward with confidence in a rapidly changing world dominated by growing technological developments, becoming talents who contribute to the country and Hong Kong.

Collaborative Programs

Organic Farmland and Smart Greenhouse Hydroponic Cultivation Program Students will learn the techniques of field farming and greenhouse cultivation, and explore the outcomes of both planting methods. At the same time, students can accumulate planting experience, share their gardening insights with others, and share their harvested crops with their families.
Natural Ecological Literacy Experiential Education Program (NEEEP)
To help students prepare for the transitions, challenges, and opportunities brought about by the new science curriculum, our school is participating in the NEEEP launched by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. This program allows students to conduct natural science inquiries, strengthen their connection with nature, and understand the importance of sustainable development.
Jockey Club GoAI Education Program (Science)
The Jockey Club introduces a three-year basic artificial intelligence curriculum for students, enabling them to properly apply AI technology to tackle real-life challenges.
